Brent Verco Bscience. M.Chiropractic

Brent began his career as a massage therapist working for renowned Osteopath Dr Neil Gregory in Sydney.

He graduated from his Masters of Chiropractic in 2002, working briefly in Sydney before deciding to make a lifestyle change and head for the laid back Northern NSW coast. His passion is human anatomy and bio-mechanics, for which he currently teaches at the Ace Byron College as part of their massage therapy Diploma.

Brent has completed further studies in Sacro Occipital Technique (SOT) which he uses as his basis to understand distortions in structure. He also combines standard Chiropractic adjustments with some of the latest soft tissue and muscle techniques, such as Post Isometric Release (PIR), to ensure that the muscular systems tone is reduced with each treatment.

Brent specializes in treating postural syndromes caused by our modern lifestyle. He has a keen interest in surfing related injuries, as well as other sporting niggles that impair top performance.

When Brent is not practicing Chiropractic or teaching, you can find him surfing some of the shires excellent breaks, playing music, bush-walking and mountain biking with his Japanese wife Aya.

Anna Surrey

Registered Pilates Instructor & Remedial Massage Therapist

Qualifications:

  • Certificate in Pilates Instruction
  • Diploma Remedial Massage
  • Senior First Aid

Personal Note:

Coming from a sports massage background I have worked a lot with clients suffering from back injuries and chronic pain. I realized that as a therapist I could only do so much to alleviate the symptoms but felt somehow limited in providing long term change. Pilates turned out to be the answer for my clients to be able to be in control of their own body, increase body awareness and prevent injury.

After gaining my qualification I was trained further by a physiotherapist who gave me a more specific insight into using Pilates not only as a form of exercise but also as a rehabilitation tool.

I like to share my knowledge, enabling you to re-connect to your body, learning to utilize the muscles which provide safety and optimum health for your spine in a gentle and personal environment.
